Your Health Is YOUR Responsibility First

Sandra Forsyth shared her misadventures and support for her health conditions over the last 15 years. She learned early in her health journey that she needed to keep her own diary of conditions, doctors, treatment and outcomes because the medical profession was never as complete as what she could generate
She talked about rating doctors, clinics and medications. Knowing what is happening to you, with you and for you is critical if you want to ensure that you are receiving the best treatment.
She also recommended that there are many organisations in the community who offer help and support and that if you are nor feeling treated well or helped to improve, then you need to ask for help and support.
Unfortunately, the current health system does not keep records that are comprehensive for each of us and also a ten minute appointment does not actually give a new doctor for you, the opportunity to read your history.
So remember, a pen and paper is the best way for you to keep a record of your health and the health of those you love.
